ARTIST STATEMENT
As an artist and filmmaker I see it as my role to investigate the techniques and rituals
we incorporate in order to cope with everyday life and the human condition.
My work is rooted in the specificity of life itself; reality becomes both material and stage.
It unfolds as a form of auto-fiction, blurring the boundaries between truth and invention.
I engage in interdisciplinary research that draws upon both historical and contemporary paradigms, integrating these into my artistic processes while also engaging with future-oriented frameworks.
I'm currently drawn to themes such as reality tv, the fragmentation of the self, trance states induced by cinema and sound and our mutable perception of time.
Working on video footage and sound is my way of maintaining consciousness and communicating
with the environment I live in.
